Limitations of GoCamera

Sony restricts the use of some camera functionality for third party developers. Consequently, GoCamera may not support all features offered by your cameras or by Sony's own apps.

Exposure Modes and Exposure Settings
Some Sony cameras such as the Sony QX10 only offer a very limited set of exposure modes and settings.
Furthermore, Sony cameras are often released with a limited firmware. An update of your Sony camera may be required to enable GoCamera to modify exposure modes and exposure settings.

Video Capture
GoCamera does not support video capture. This is a limitation made by us in order to concentrate on providing the best photo capture experience.

Shutter Button
Unfortunately, the shutter button on Sony cameras cannot be used to take photos and transfer them onto your iPhone. This functionality is restricted by Sony and cannot be used by third party app developers.

Geographic Limitations
Camera features as well as the Sony PlayMemories interface as a whole can be restricted by Sony based on your country. For instance, there are reports that cameras bought in Israel may be not compatible with Sony PlayMemories interface. If you are affected by these issues, please contact Sony's support desk.
